A New Shooting Range in Guntur for Shooting Sports Enthusiasts

A new Shooting Range is inaugurated on 3rd September 2017 in Guntur.

Congratulations! to Sri A.Mallikharjunarao on achieving ISSF D Course Certification conducted at MANAV RACHNA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY by ISSF Training Academy.

State Level Rifle Shooting Training Camp Conducted by GDRA

A State Level Rifle Shooting Training Camp is Conducted by GDRA at Muppalla, Krishna District at the request of Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (APSWRIES). This is an attempt to train school children in the shooting sports and encourage our future champions.
The children were very enthusiastic about the opportunity and performed beyond expectations. We are encouraged to conduct more such camps in the future.

Summer Camp 2016 ! - Announcement

GDRA is happy to announce " Lavu Venkateswarlu Memorial  Rifle Shooting Summer Camp" from 1st May to 22nd May 2016 at Sai Padham, Lakshmipuram, Guntur.

We received a huge response for the 2015 Summer Camp which was the first of it's kind in Guntur.
Some good marksmen were discovered and many more were inspired.

We can properly concentrate on a limited number of students and we will admit only that many. If you are serious about learning Air Rifle Shooting, we suggest you to enrol early .

You can learn the skills of marksmanship from experienced shooters. The activities include -

  • Air Rifle and Air Pistol shooting Basics
  • Exercises for better posture
  • Target practice
  • Weekly competitions
  • Guidance for aspiring shooters

GDRA Shooter Secures Spot in Trials


After participating in the 59th NATIONAL SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS 2015, 50M PISTOL MEN (ISSF) NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP  GDRA shooter Sri A Mallikharjuna Rao has secured a spot in squad trials to participate in the upcoming world cup/international shooting championships to represent INDIA.

Guntur shooters win at the16th State Shooting Championship Competition- Andhrapradesh 2015

GDRA ( Guntur District Rifle Association) has a good day at the 16th State Shooting Championship Competition- Andhrapradesh 2015 at Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Shooters from Guntur scored high and got 2 Gold and 1 Silver medals.
1) Airpistol : Gold - 362 Points- Sri A Mallikharjuna Rao
2) 25m Free Pistol: Gold - Sri A Mallikharjuna Rao
3) Air Rifle (Open Sight): Silver - 247 Points- Sri Veda Kiran
